A twenty minute sketch, rembrandts on Newsprint

Trying a different approach to painting with pastels, well, different for me anyhow. Read about one of the techniques Greg Biolchini uses a while back and been meaning to try it and now I finally did. After putting down a layer of pastel, I took a wet brush and pushed it around. Did it for every layer except the last two layers. And I have no idea why I did it on such a small support, hard enough on a large one :D
