Bookbinding

Yesterday, I decided to try to bind my own sketchbook again since my urge to learn almost a half year ago, which I practiced making a couple of books. At that time, it was pretty much to practice stitching the signatures together and simply gluing boards to the first and last page of the stitched signatures. But this time, I worked on making the complete front and back cover with the spine and here is my results.

Been a while ...

since I posted anything, haven't had much inspiration lately. I managed to do this quick 12 x 9 sketch (though not as quick as I am used to) on charcoal paper using a variety of Rembrandt, Winsor & Newton, Mount Vision, Richeson Handmade, Unison, and Sennelier soft pastels, even though the palette I used is somewhat limited. I used the wrong color in certain areas of the sketch, but oh well, it is only a sketch. The posted image is slightly cropped.
