Homemade pochade boxes
This is the first attempt at building a pochade box, the sides were too deep for oil painting but good depth for storing pastels.

I'd like to see a photo of the back of the pochade box to see how the clamp mechanism works.
It's a spring that creates the tension to hold the painting surface in place.
