Made a batch of gesso and aluminum oxide
mixture and primed a 8 x 6 Masonite board to test it out to made sure it
has enough grit in the mixture. It seem to be alright for now.
A small portrait study that the more I worked on it, the more it slowly lose the resemblance. But then, not sure if the resemblance was there in the first place.
Been a couple of weeks since I played around with pastels and since I got the next couple of days off from work, figure I try to get a portrait I agreed to do done. But before doing that, I did this little 10 x 8 doodle on mat board coated w/ colourfix for a little bit of warming up. Didn't do the head and hands cause I would fuss over those two areas if I did.
Working on this and not too sure I am happy with it, just doesn't look right. Might have to leave it alone for a couple of days then look at it with fresh eyes.
