Another little painting

Tried using the synthetic mongoose brushes again, still having trouble adapting to them, but this time is a little better. I'll probably stay with the bristle brushes, much easier time pushing the paint around.

I've been lurking on your sketchbook and decided to post a comment here.

Nice strong consistency in your studies. What size is this one and have you tried working on a canvas instead of a board?

Synthetic Mongoose brushes? Interesting. Have you ever worked with synthetic Sable brushes? I've used them in combination with regular Bristles and the synthetic Sable brushes are by far the best bang for the buck in terms of quality versus price.

Keep up the studies. I look forward to seeing more :)

Thanks Shou, the painting is 5 x 7 inches. Actually, I like painting on canvas, but boards are a bit easier to prepare not to mention cheaper too.

I got the synthetic mongoose brushes after reading some reviews on them. They are softer than bristles and stiffer than sables, but I think I'm going to stick with natural hair instead of synthetics. I tried synthetic/sable blend also and not too fond of that either.
